PADI Open Water

The PADI Open Water course will give you the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional anywhere in the world and is why this is the most popular PADI course.

Throughout the PADI Open Water course you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including the use of dive equipment and diving techniques.  You earn this rating by completing five pool sessions, knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

Anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver Certificate.  In addition if you are or have children between the ages of 10-14 there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.

PADI Junior Open Water Divers, once qualified, can only dive with a PADI Professional or a certified parent or guardian to a maximum of 12 meters.

As the PADI Open Water Diver programme is performance based, you proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills, which will allow you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you.  Courses can run any Thursday evening or some weekends so please contact us to book you place. Each diver will receive a PADI Open Water crewpack which will include all the study materials you will require. All scuba equipment hire is included in the course fees.
